Join CLPT Coach’s in Muskoka, ON for a weekend of swimming, cycling and running! We will focus on the Muskoka 70.3 race and race course but you are welcome to join us whether you are racing in Muskoka or not. This camp is open to anyone who can ride 90km without stopping and who is looking to improve. We will have several coaches on site to assist with athletes from beginner to elite.
This will be a jampacked weekend including training and education! See schedule details below.
June 18 and 19, 2016
Cost: Camp Fee = $150.00 + HST
What’s included: camp instruction, group workouts, seminars and discussions on cycling skills, running skills, sports nutrition and mental skills related to endurance sport. Breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday as well as breakfast Sunday are included. Accommodations at a local cottage for the first 8 people who sign up are also included!
Itinerary:
Arrival: Evening of Friday June 17 th or early morning Saturday June 18th.
Saturday June 18:
7:00am: Breakfast and discussion on open water swim skills, the Muskoka 70.3 bike course and how to approach it.
8:00am: Open water swim
10:00am: Discussion on sports nutrition and fueling during workouts
10:45am: 90km ride on the Muskoka 70.3 bike course
Post ride: 20-30 minute easy run off the bike
6:00-8:30pm: Dinner and discussion on Mental Skills related to training and racing endurance sport. Further discussion on nutrition to fuel the endurance athlete.
Sunday June 19:
7:00am: Breakfast and discussion on running skills.
8:30am: Open water swim
11:00am: Run on the Muskoka 70.3 run course (Up to 21.1km)
1:30: Closing remarks and finish of CLPT Muskoka Training Weekend!
