CL Performance Training is proud to be the official coach once again for the 2022 Subaru Ironman Muskoka 70.3. We’ve put together some course specific training to get you race ready for your first 70.3 distance or to get after that big goal. We’ve got all you need to succeed!

Endurance Foundation Classes

Join these virtual classes to build a strong functional foundation to support your endurance training. Available on a drop-in basis when pre-registered in MindBody. Athletes on a CLPT coaching package join free. Drop-in prices $12.00 + HST for 30 minute class/ $15.00 + HST for 60 min class. Best value: 10 class pass for $102.00 + HST and you can use it for any of the classes we have to offer.

Mondays at 7:00 am – 30 minute core class – Discover the difference a rock solid core makes to your power across all disciplines. All you need is a laptop/tablet with internet access and a yoga mat.

Tuesdays at 7:00 am – 60 minute cycling class – Designed for endurance athletes to help get you ready for the hills of Muskoka and beyond. Your bike on an indoor trainer and a laptop/tablet with internet is all that’s required. If you want to get fancier, we can provide you with a zwift or trainer road file that you can use for the class workout.

Wednesdays at 7:00 am – 30 minute full body strength – Minimal equipment required for maximum results. All you need is floor space and yoga mat. Enhanced benefit if you have bands, stretch cords, free weights, a chair, or TRX.

Mega Training Days – January 9 & March 6

Join our CL Performance Training Coaches in a 3 hour virtual training session focused on cycling and strength for triathlon or duathlon! We will lead you through a 2 hour 30 minute to 3 hours cycling class followed by a 15-30 minute stretch session. Participants will need to be set up on an indoor trainer with internet access and laptop or tablet to join the group. A smart trainer is not required but enhances the experience. A Zwift file will be sent to registered participants in advance if you would like to use it. Sign up on Mindbody. Drop in pricing $50.00 + HST. If you are a coached athlete with us, our virtual mega day are free.

Saturday Cycling Workouts

Starting on Saturday, January 8th through Saturday, March 26th, 2022 – we’re offering a 12-week cycling workout series built specifically to prepare athletes racing Muskoka 70.3. There will be hills – and this workout will get you ready for the challenge!

This will be a coach-led on-line program with a specific Zwift file and group ride each week – $240.00 for the 12-week session. (CLPT coached athletes receive 20% discount.) Saturday mornings from 7:30 – 9:30 am EST We need a minimum number to run the program, so sign up early to save your place. This is not a drop-in program – a 12 week commitment is required. Muskoka Training Camp

The best way to conquer a course is to become familiar with it. This is your chance to experience the Subaru Ironman Muskoka 70.3 course with fellow athletes in coach-led workouts designed to test your fitness and prepare you for race day.

Friday, June 3rd through Sunday, June 5th.

You’ll come out of this weekend stronger, more prepared for a race of this distance (or longer), and with more knowledge of training and nutrition specific for long distance racing – triathlon or otherwise.

To be ready for camp, we recommend you have done at least 2000 meters in the pool several times, a couple of 75 – 90km rides and 75 minutes or more of running at a time.

Duathletes & cyclists are also welcome! We’ll provide you with sport specific workouts while other athletes are practicing their sports.

If you are new to open water swimming, this is the perfect opportunity to get into the water with supportive coaching and other athletes alongside you to work on your skills & confidence.

Cost is $225.00 + HST. (CLPT coached athletes receive 20% discount). Includes: Coach supported training sessions, sports nutrition throughout the weekend, coach led discussions on training and racing, and a group environment to support and motivate you.
Excludes: travel, accommodation, meals.
